These Paleo homemade mozzarella sticks are a delicious twist on the classic favorite. Instead of using cheese, grass-fed ground beef is seasoned with herbs and spices, coated in almond flour, and fried until crispy. They're perfect for satisfying cravings while sticking to a Paleo diet.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb grass-fed ground beef
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 large egg
- Coconut oil for frying
Instructions:
Combine the ground beef, oregano, basil, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt in a bowl
Form the mixture into small sticks by dividing it into smaller portions
Beat the egg in a different bowl
Coat each stick in almond flour after dipping it into the beaten egg
In a skillet set over medium-high heat, warm the coconut oil
Fry for 34 minutes on each side, or until the sticks are cooked through and golden brown in the hot oil
Take out of the skillet and pat dry with paper towels
Top with your preferred Paleo-friendly marinara sauce and serve hot
